  1. Yes the shops close Easter sunday and Easter Monday ( because monday after easter is a holiday here in Barcelona)... you will be able to enjoy the tourist shops down the ramblas but the normal shopping is closed for the holiday..

    Enjoy Barcelona..

    Bcn_mimosa from Barcelona...

  2. In Barcelona the shops close for easter on Friday and Monday after easter.

(I worked in Spain in human resources and I had to control the bank holiday for all the brunches in Spain)

  3. I live in Barcelona and the shops are closed on Monday. You'll find that a lot of places close after lunch on Thursday, however in the centre and the shopping centres they'll be open everyday except Friday and Monday and of course they are closed every Sunday.

  4. Most shops in Spain close Thursday and Friday this week as they are bank holidays so I assume it will be the same in Barcelona as it is Semana Santa(holy week)

  5. Most of Spain has holidays during Holy Week, from thursday or friday to sunday. The Catalonian area of Spain also has easter monday as a holiday. The more touristic areas will have most everything open, holidays or not...But in Barcelona you will probably find most shops closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday...
