I know the mass # or atomic # normally changes in Isotopes and you round off the number given i just dont remember how you go about figuring out the number of electrons in an isotope...

Is it the Atomic number minus the # of protons ? please help!!!!!

  1. Isotopes are any of the different chemical species of a chemical element each having different atomic mass (mass number). Isotopes of an element have nuclei with the same number of protons (the same atomic number) but different numbers of neutrons. Therefore, isotopes have different mass numbers, which give the total number of nucleons—the number of protons plus neutrons.

The number of electrons is always equal to the number of protons. For each element, the numbers of electrons and protons do not change. Only the number of neutrons changes with different isotopes.
