Question:

In Bowling... If The Ball Bounces Out Of The Gutter?

Some people on the other team had an argument with me over this.

If your ball goes in the gutter and bounces back on the lane and hits pins... that shot doesn't count and it is regarded as a gutter ball. They have to reset the pins and put them all back up.

This is true right?

  1. Yes, this is true. They must reset the pins.

  2. It's always "zero" for any shot that enters the gutter and reenters the lane.  If it occurs on the 1st shot, it's a gutterball.  If it happens on the 2nd shot, it's a missed spare.

If your league is non-sanctioned and only for fun, like no-tap leagues, and rules are not governed by the USBC, then anything goes.....
