what happens on the scorecard. If a fight ends bc a fighters corner throws in the towel at the end of Rd 6 thus awarding his opponent a TKO is Rd 6 scored. Also if a fighter gets a KO in rd 1 is that fight scored.

  1. The round isn't scored because the round was never completed. The round is left out of scoring as if it never happened.

  2. There would be no purpose, since the KO ends the match.  If it comes right at the end of a round, it is possible one or more judges might mark a score for that round, not knowing whether the knockdown is going to end in KO or not.  The ringside officials will not collect the scorecards and the final announcement will mention only the KO, not what the score was at the time.  The score will not count for anything in the fighters' records.  What I believe you have noticed is that often the press at ringside will go to the judges to see what the score was, (if they haven't already been doing so after each round anyway), so they can spice up their stories with:  "X, while behind on all the scorecards, scored a lightning knockout ... ."   Ring Magazine writers love to do that.

  3. The score cards don't mean anything when the fight ends in a KO, and as far as I know they don't score the round it ended in but there are more knowledgeable people that will give you a definite answer.
