  1. because the middle classes need their Radio 4.....93.3  --93.7 FM

  2. You`re still on FM radio,BLIMEY!  How old skool.

DAB all the way for me...BBC Asian Network. WooHoo!

  3. It probably doesn't have anything to do with what class neighborhoods are around.

Oh wait, maybe it does... I'll get to that in a sec.

Anyway it's probably just a coincidence because of where the antenna towers are located at.

Ok that brings us back to what I was saying a paragraph ago and I'll just leave you with a rehetorical quesiton.

If you were a big manager of a radio company, would you rather put up a radio tower in the ghettos where they could possibly be destroied... or in a nicer neighborhood where it will always be taken care of?

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that they didn't deliberately want the ghettos to not have good reception - they just wanted the towers to be placed away from them.

Also another reason could be is the landscape of the area could be blocking out signals.

  4. There is your answer right there: cos it a middle class neighbourhood.
