  1. She becomes a lady.

  2. She gets the honor of servicing a knight?

  3. Yes.  She becomes a 'Lady'.  Lady is also the title held by the wives of men holding other titles, as well, ie. Baron.  Did you know that Jamie Lee Curtis holds the British title of Lady Hayden-Guest?  Her husband, Christopher, holds the title of Baron.  I once read somewhere that she actually gets better service in restaurants in England if she uses her Lady Hayden-Guest title rather than 'Jamie Lee Curtis'.  I thought it was interesting.

  4. When a man is KInighted and gains the title "Sir", his wife gains the title "Lady".  Her priveledges are as equal as his own.

  5. She becomes a Lady and is treated with respect.
