Whats the age limit in california?

if its ileagle what could happon if they were to get caught?

  1. I believe it is either 13 or 14.


  2. That's not illegal. Children can be left alone at the age of 12.

    However, if it were illegal, the parents would be charged with child endangerment and/or abandonment.  

  3. If I recall correctly the law allows for a parent to leave their minor child(ren) in the care of a person who [A] responsible and [B] capable to handle routine care and emergencies. While many 13-15 year olds are responsible they may not have the physical capacity to be considered adequate guardians of younger children. I would not leave my kids with anyone who did not already possess a valid drivers license (not a permit) in case they might need to transport them to a doctors office for a minor injury.
