  1. Santa Barbara has a reputation for being polluted with liberals.  I am surprised any time a Republican gets elected to anything in California.


  2. See the link below.  Blue constitutes Democratic votes Red is Republican.  Note the consentration of blue vs. the diversity of the red.

  3. Certain cities yes but not all.

    Most counties are pretty much one or the other:

    LA, SF = Democrats

    OC, SD = Republicans

    ALL State/Federal districts are gerrrymandered to be either Republican or Democratic.
