  1. U have to be 16, and if your still in school, then you need a working permit from your school to apply for a job. plus you can only work the minimum hours untill you turn 18.

  2. Don't no about USA but in Australia, since prime minister John Howard introduced workchoices industrial relations laws you can be any age and accept any rate of pay once you have signed an Australian Workplace Agreement ( AWA ).

Employers have wanted 'little' people to work in small spaces fixing and cleaning factory machines while running. ( shutting them down for maintenance affects profits ). The bosses also want the 'little' people to clean their dirty chimneys.

If you are a multi-national company, come,  set up in Australia. We have industrial laws that follow worlds worst practice, just the one's you need for your bottom line ( and more importantly, your directors stock options. )

  3. 15 .5

  4. You have to be at least 15 and you are required to have a work permit after you're hired.   You get that from your high school counselor through the work experience program.

Although there might be exceptions ....( your parents are friends with the owners,  it's a family business, etc.)... most businesses will not hire a 14 yr. old.
