Should I bring a change of clothes to put in the rented locker and change in the bathroom after the ride? Will I get that wet? Best time to ride?

  1. Awww, christ! It's OC1999 the "know it all" of amusement parks. I set him up one time under a different name and he failed! LOL! Take what this guy says with a grain of salt!

  2. I don't think a change of clothes is necessary, unless you hate being wet. It doesn't usually drench you completely, but you will get big wet spots on your clothes.

Ride it sometime in the day so you'll have the sun to dry you off. I'd say anywhere from nine in the morning to four in the afternoon will give you enough strong daylight.

  3. a change of clothes IS necessary i GOT SOAKING WET.

and i didnt bring any clothes btu since it was really hot i dried up in about an 45 minutes.

    but it feels uncomfortable.

  4. Will you get wet..Yes.

Will you get soaked..Your chances are very good.

The "best" time to ride is of course during the heat of the day (late morning-mid afternoon).  But this is also the time it will be the busiest and longest wait.   If you want to go during this time you would be better off getting a FastPass.  This is a free service that you use your park ticket to obtain a FastPass and get a time to return later in the day.  They only have a limited number during the day and on a hot day will probably have a return time of at least a couple hours later.  So you can plan accordingly.

If you don't like to be in wet clothes then you probably should bring a change of clothes.  However, if you go at any time during the day you will probably be totally dry in an hour or so.

Just a correction to the above answer.  California Adventure does not open up until 10am each day so you won't even be able to get on it at 9am.

  5. I can almost guarantee that you will get DRENCHED! I did, all three times I went on it. I highly recommend that you bring a change of clothes. Its a great ride; there are two drops, a large one and a smaller one. The best time to ride any popular water ride is within the last 2 hours the park is open. Almost nobody goes on water rides that late, since it tends to be soooo cold! I dont know how cold the water is at night there, but at knotts berry farm on the big foot rapids, the water is just below room temperature.

  6. Hi, I've been on that ride several times and it must be luck because I never get wet. It really just depends where you sit. I don't like being really wet, so I always take a poncho that you can buy from the 99 Cent store, they're cheap and can be rolled up into a backpack. If you don't want to bother with after the ride I always offer it to someone who is going to get on. They are always happy to take it. The gift shop there sells poncho too but at a hefty price $8.00. When my son does get wet we always go to Brother Bear and do all the mazes etc..to dry off. Good luck on the chosen seat:).
