In California what date do Title Examiners consider the actual execution of conveyance to the buyer in

Although I am a title agent in NJ, many states follow the Torrens System of real property document recordation.  If it is the same in California, the date that the Deed is recorded in the county is considered the actual date of conveyance.  If you do not follow the Torrens System, it could also be the date of settlement.
