Suppose you are a renter and someone wants to rent from you. The prospective tenant signs a paper saying that they consent to a credit check. How can the renter do this credit check? How can you do this sort of thing on a one time basis?

  1. Google teneant credit check.

  2. The easiest way is likely to go through a third party service that will run the credit check for you:

    http://www.checkfirstonline.com/

Appears to be a service geared towards Landlords and allows them to run credit checks for a fee. Their membership (lifetime) is $45 and this includes the first credit check so I would expect you would just pass the cost on to prospective tenants as an application/administrative fee (the site does appear to have standard consent forms in the members area).

I can't recommend this service specifically but it appears to be the sort of thing you are looking for.

    Hope this was some help!
