Question:

In Canada, is Tim Horton's more powerful than McDonalds?

Timmy's Ho's are the lifeblood of Canada every morning and they are more easily accessible than McCrap. Every five minute walk in Toronto, there's a Timmy's. If there are suddenly no Tim Horton's, I think it would be a safe bet that Harper would find some invalid excuse to invade Iran and most Canadians would support him; everybody going through withdrawal symptoms. What do you think?

  1. It has better food :) . But people still go to McDonalds, but I dont know about which is more 'powerfull'..

  2. Yes, Canadians would go into a traumatizing withdrawal if there were no more Tim's.  But, I don't think we would invade Iran.  It would the world's largest producer of coffee beans, Brazil.

  3. I think they are. The invading thing no, it sounds like you have had too many timmies. Oh d**n now I want a timmies.

  4. Tim's is bigger in the east than in the west.  We have more Starbucks in the west than ON

  5. I heard once that McDonald's still makes the most profit out of any chain in Canada, but Tim Horton's has the most stores, which is understandable when you see all the mini Tim Horton's in gas stations, etc. Tim Horton's is considered more "Canadian" partially because of the favoritism by the gov't, like how they're the exclusive retailer of those special edition coins the Canadian Mint produces. They also advertise themselves as "Canadian" with those commercials about how a Canadian student travelling abroad felt lonely until she received Tim Horton's coffee, etc. If Harvey's did that in their advertising instead of Timmy's, then we would be calling them the quintessential Canadian fast food instead. Perceived nationalism is a marketing phenomenon more than anything else.

  6. I don't know if Timmie's is more powerful than McDonalds, but it certainly has a much more powerful hold on Canadians, me included.  I'd go to great lengths for my coffee!!  Probably wouldn't invade a country though!

  7. Well, personnaly, I don't like either. I don't like fast food, even the wraps taste like rubber to me. And coffee... never liked the stuff...

    BUT I do like donoughts.

Hmm.... not enough to invade Iran though!!!
