Hi all,

I am looking for places to contact about DNA testing in Canada. I am specifically looking for paternity testing for an adult male son and his father.

Also, does anyone know about legal rights of people who just found out their parents' identity? Can the parents be forced to take a DNA test?

Thanks all

  1. MAURY! all you have to do is pay for airfare!  call them.

    188845maury.

p.s; hes in NY so i guess your pretty close!

  2. Contact DNA Diagnostics Center - http://www.dnacenter.com/

  3. I would suggest first and foremost contacting your family G.P.  If that doesn't get you anywhere, I think the best place to contact about that information is Health Canada (their number is online obviously), or contact your Provincial Ministry of Health for information closer to home.

I just thought, depending on what province, you could also possibly contact the College of Physicians & Surgeons of "Ontario" or "New Brunswick" or "Nova Scotia", depending on where you are.

Out of those three, I bet you the Provincial Ministry of Health would be the best bet.  They all have toll free lines to find information.

    Good luck.

  4. Gentrack.com is in Canada. They have multiple locations in Canada for collections. They cost $395 to $795 depending on how many children and/or prospective fathers are involved.

I used their subsidiary for genetic genealogy, Genebase.com
