In Canadian Football can you pass the ball?

Can you pass the ball in canadian football or is it like

american football (only allowed to pass the ball once)?

In the CFL you can pass. It's the same as the NFL, you can pass FORWARD once, but after that you can only run but still throw backwards, generally the same as the NFL, to see more comparisons between the CFL and NFL go to the link below.

The rules about passing are the same in Canadian and American football.

You can pass it forward just once.  You can pass it backwards or sideways (lateral) as many times as you want/are able to.
