Cassie's law in the following form.

Cos A = B(cos C 1) – 1

Sorry I can get the greek symbols to work on here so what I'm guessing

A = is the contract angle of the water droplet

B = the areal fraction.

but what is C (is it the apparent surface angle)

  1. You sure it's Cassie's law?....I remember the equation is : CosθC = γ1(cosθ1 + 1) -1

    EDIT: θ1 is  contact angle of component 1 with areal fraction γ1.........sorry If I'm wrong....I don't have much memory of my physics knowledge now.........>.>
