  6. From how he complains about it, it probably means being married to my best friend's wife.

  7. Chastity within a marriage means to be faithful to your spouse and commit no adultery.

Judeo-Christian tradition has taught for thousands of years that it is God's will that:

    • Single people should be celibate.

    • Married people should be faithful to each other (adultery is wrong).

The Catholic Church recognizes the power of s*x when it teaches, "Sexuality affects all aspects of the human person in the unity of his body and soul."

Chastity means the successful integration of sexuality within the person. A chaste person's body and spirit lives in unity and opposes any behavior that would impair that unity.

The Catholic Church does not have an official stance which types of s*x are allowable when a man and woman are married as long as it is consensual and done in moderation.

The purpose of s*x is to bring a husband and wife closer and to create human life.

    Anyone who commits adultery

    • Does injury to the sign of the covenant which the marriage bond is

    • Transgresses the rights of the other spouse

    • Undermines the institution of marriage by breaking the contract on which it is based

    • Compromises the welfare of children who need their parents' stable union.

For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, section 2337 and following: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt3s...

    With love in Christ.

  8. To be chaste within marriage is to be pure and to experience marriage the way God intended it to be.

One man for one woman, for a life time.

Pure in thought and deed, to respect each other and treat each other with kindness.

To raise any children, born into the family, in the Church.

  10. To protect one's chastity is to not have s*x.  being chaste within marriage is to be married but to not have s*x with anyone, not even your spouse.  This was previously technically required by the Church in infertile couples, and some married saints chose to give up s*x within their lifetimes, thus living chaste within marriage.
