In checkers, when you move your checker is it only 1 step diagonal foward? ( Im not gonna attack a checker)

  1. Of course.  It's called "checkering" to move two spaces forward, but you can only "checker" thrice per round.


  2. yes checkers you always move diagonal. However when attacking someone unlike chess, on checkers you hop over your opponent's piece. In effect, you may continue to "hop" over your opponent's pieces if possible. You are only allowed to go diagonally forward, not back (unless you are kinged).
