In Chennai - can we hire people by the hour to help old people, like assist with going to doctor?

I live overseas, and want to hire a trust-worthy person from time to time to do the kind of things that I should do for parents - such as take them to the doctor, pay bills, hire a cook, clean the water tank, etc..

it is a good idea.  this type of  help is really appreciable.  you can get definitely get trust worthy perople in chennai.  But you have to take care of that person also..

Try AARP's web site--they have quite a bit on caregiving and caregiving from a distance.  The best page I could find was for Ohio, but most of the stuff in it applied nationally.  You're a good person to make sure your folks are taken care of.
