In Death Note, does Light Yagami die?

Question

If you're familiar with the anime and watch it or watched it before, can someone please tell me if Light dies or not? Yeah I don't want to spoil it for myself because I'm currently on ep. 27 but I'm too curious so please spoil {^_^}

Yes he does. At the end, he tries to kill everyone.. his dad, the people at the police... L, He orders the Reaper to write the peoples name. And when the reaper showed the notebook to him, his own name was there. so he dies.

In the anime Light dies on the staircase of a warehouse due to cardiac arrest from Ryuk writing his name in his Death Note.

According to the manga, Light's date of death is January 28, 2010.

i saw it on cartoon network one night really late and fell in love with it. Ive only seen that ONE episode. It's so awsome. And I normally don't watch anime or get into it.

Yeah, he DID die..I kinda felt sorry for him... I could NOT believe RYUUK killed him!! Aaaa!! LOL!!

Anyway, before Ryuuk wrote his name in the Death Note (Ryuuk's), Light already got shot by Matsuda...and he escaped, while he was resting or something like that, Ryuuk killed him by writing his name in the note.

The ending is SO depressing...and sad.
