I agreed to store sisters stuff in garage for 2 months after 18 months we took to goodwill. This is after many efforts of asking her to get it out, finding drug paraphanelia in the stuff. Her making no effort at all. Now she is suing us for taking stuff to goodwill. What are my rights? We only had a verbal agreement. We live in Indiana. Oh there was over 6 months that we did not know where she even was.

  1. First of all drug paraphenelia is illegal , when you found that, it would cancel any agreement, written or verbal to store her things, if the police had found that, I doubt they would believe you if you told them it was someone else's, so , in actual reality you could probably sue her for putting you in a position of going to jail, also, leaving it there that long would be considered abandonment, especially since she did not let you know where she was for months.  I would tell her that if she does sue you then you will feel obligated to charge her monthly fees for the months she did leave everything there.

  2. Is there a chance you can give HER to goodwill also?
