  1. absolutely.. you should do that year round unless you want to spend your precious vacation time wandering from restaurant to restaurant hoping one of them doesn't have a long wait.

I highly recommend the brown derby at mgm studios..  and definitely go to one of the countries in epcot to eat..  my family always goes to mexico..  which is just ok..  we went to norway once and it was AWFUL..  but france germany and morocco look great..  living seas is good too..

if you go over to universal I recommend emeril's

  2. Disney highly recommends it and so do I.. I am also going in August and booked all our table service meals 3 months ago and the selections were limited.. Good luck...

  3. It depends on the restaurant.  We just went in late May.  We thought that we wouldn't need reservations.  We were wrong.  We absolutely could not get in to Le Cellier (in Canada in Epcot).  We could only get certain times at the China restaurant.  We ended up going to the Morocco restaurant since they had reservations, which was good but not our first choice.

Some places fill up way in advance, and some are still available.  Most parks and hotels will have table-service restaurant seating available somewhere, but perhaps not your first choice.

By the way, as far as I know there is no cancellation policy for Disney restaurant reservations, so you can make as many as you want with no penalty.  So there is no harm in making the reservations even if you don't end up going.

    Enjoy your trip.

  4. Disney always recommends and I tend to agree. Better to make and cancel than not be able to get in.   Sometimes where you think will be super busy aren't and vice versa.

  5. I would suggest it if there is a restaurant you really want to go to.  There are tons of places to eat at Disney that do not need reservations.  I know that if you want to eat at a character breakfast, lunch or dinner you must have a reservation.  Some places are booked 6 mths in advance (Cinderella's castle tea party) and so my best advice would be to call Disney and ask them their recommendations.  The customer service is outstanding and can give you helpful advice for planning your entire stay.  And if this is your first time at the theme parks they can tell you what restaurants they suggest and help you make a reservation.  I suggest the character breakfast at the Contemporary Resort-the food is delicious and you get to meet Mickey Mouse.  We also love to see Pooh and his friends at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom.  And my best tip is to get the Fast Pass for your favorite rides-helps you to avoid long lines!

Have fun and remember your sunscreen and drink plenty of water...it gets really hot here in sunny Florida in August :0)

  6. I would>>>although Disney doesn't call them or regard them as "reservations".  But you really need them in DisneyWorld esp in August.

  7. Disney highly recomennds it

  8. Yes. They are crowded.

  9. Yes definetly, I'm takign my daughter in August and we've book everything except for one dinner, which I'm having a terriblefindplace thats kid friendly, not booked, and in disney. Goodluck, and I've asked a question about restraunts in disney if you want to look to get some ideas.
