In Doctor Who, remember the scene where everyone is chanting, "Doctor..."?

Isn't that what we should be doing?

One man cannot change the world, but can tell others how to change the world...

Perhaps RTD is a bit cleverer than he first seems?

  1. I see the point you're trying to make.

However that whole scene towards the end of Doctor Who series 3 was possibly Russell T Davies' worst idea ever. It didn't make any sense even in science fiction terms and it was a terrible, terrible cop-out of a solution.

And also, we can each change the world in our own small ways.

  2. I really liked that scene. I loved the idea that Martha and the rest of the resistance had outwitted the Master, and that the Doctor had in an instant (when he whispered to Martha just before she teleported down to earth) seen an opportunity to use his beloved human race to beat the Master.

There seem to be a lot of RTD-bashers out there at present. I personally think that his writing, along with the vast majority of the writing for DW, SJA and Torchwood, has been great.

Why is this question in law enforcement and police??

edit:  Your editing comments seem to be giving a sci fi show (albeit the greatest ever, with the possible exception of Firefly) importance beyond its merit.

It is just a TV show.

I do not want to comment on where the human race is heading, and nor does RTD, if you ask me. He (and Moffat, hopefully), just want to write entertaining sci fi.

  3. Nope..........!!!

  4. All together now... Peace...Peace...peace...

  5. Who

  6. Davis can't write for toffee! The only good episodes are the ones he lets other people do!
