In the scene where the inventor shows Edward the hands why does he cut them up? And why does the inventor die suddenly? And why does Edward cut him on the face?

Very confusing indeed.

  1. He's falling and they hit Edward's hands on the way down.

I'm taking it that he had a heart attack or was just old.

He tries to lovingly stroke his face, but he cuts him on accident.

**If I'm remembering right, as he falls, Edward sticks out his 'hands' to catch him. He does go backwards, but the scissors do catch the prosthetics that the inventor was holding.

  2. he tries to grab the hands, and cuts them by mistake.

    Inventor dies of cardiac arrest

he caresses his face and cuts him again by accident.

i love this movie!! watched it on mpix yesterday!
