I'm not that familiar with the court system in America I've never had to go to court and don't know anyone who has, never took law classes, and don't really watch law shows but I heard this from a person I know and wanted to inquire.

  1. Britain has a legal system almost identical to ours.  In fact, most states in the US have based their legal systems on the UK.  So they are innocent until proven guilty.

In France and a few other countries, they operate on an inquisitorial system instead of an adversarial system.   This means that there is no prosecutor, just a judge.  The court investigates the issue and decides.  There is no burden of proof.

  2. i was told they f--k ya in the a-- if you do something wrong. not joking.

  3. Under the old Russian system, this was true.  The investigators were supposed to try and prove you innocent, if they could.  It seems a strange system as opposed to the American one.
