In FINAL FANTASY (the first one), how do you heal your little characters?

they keep dying. but i dont know how the heck to heal them. i play it on the psp by the way.. if that changes anything

Also, use phoenix down whenever they die. That would bring them back to life.  

Answer 2

- Use a Potion on them

- Have White Mage cast Cure on them

- Sleep at the Inn in town.
