Question:

In Fantasy Football during the draft is doing WR a solid alternative strategy?

I always go for the RBs but this year I want to try something a little different since my star running backs last year were all lackluster. Will I be screwed by picking WRs before RBs.

My thinking is that while every year there are running backs that rack up the points the difference from the great running backs and the average ones is not as great as with the wide receivers. With the wide receivers it seems like they either make a lot of points or barely any at all.

Plus for extra kudos who are you top 5 picks for WR?

  1. i like that but i think first round(unless its moss) you should get a rb because those rb's USUALLY have a huge discrepancy between the others i.e. Marion Barber and Lendale White

    1. Randy Moss

    2. Terrell Owens

    3. Braylon Edwards

    4. Reggie Wayne

    5. Andre Johnson

    6. Marques colston

  2. depends wats on the board if LT peterson or westbrook are left go for them if not go for a great WR

    Top 5 WRs

            1.Randy Moss

            2.Braylon Edwards

            3.Terrel Owens

            4.TJ Houshmandzadeh

            5.Larry Fitzgerald

  3. You would be foolish to pick WRs before RBs since RBs are key to FFB teams as the have a quicker drop off in talent in the player pool.  But the top five WRs are:

    Moss

    TO

    Edwards

    Wayne

    Fitzgerald

Personally, I would pick RB, RB, QB, RB, WR, WR, RB, WR and then fill out your roster.  RBs are most critical and suffer the most injuries so a solid backup is also imperative.  Just my opinion.
