  1. When we were on a Disney tour, they said the have lots of mosquito eating bugs and birds there. They try to use very little chemicals spraying for them in the parks.

  2. I would douse my loins with agent orange and a DDT chaser, you will never get bitten by a misquito.

  3. Some resorts at disney have tiki torches, and they keep the skeeters away, but i have been their every season of the year and i gotta say, they werent that bad.

  4. One of the very first things Disney did back in the 60s--even before constructing the Magic Kingdom--was work on water.

They built tons of canals, partly to create dry land for the parks, partly for flood control, but partly to be able to influence mosquito breeding on their actual property.

They have wind sensors in a number of areas so they know when bugs might be blown in from a different direction from off their property, and can take measures--which I assume, but don't know, inlcudes "just in time" spraying.

And they encourage all the wildlife--birds, lizards, etc--that eat bugs.

Most of this you can't do unless you have a lot of land as a buffer to where you work and water drainage control over it...

  5. Mosquitoes are also a part of the whole show .
