  1. 55 €uro-cents for up to 20 grams

90 for up to 50 grams

  2. Alright, I'll give you the EXACT rates:

0.55€ for a standard letter up to 20 grams (good enough for 3 to 4 European standard "A4" sheets of paper)

0.90€ for anything up to 50 grams

1.45€ for bigger, non-standard-size letters, up to 500 grams (approx. 1 pound)

2.20€ for the real big stuff, up to 1 kilogram

Various size restrictions apply. For still bigger stuff, and up to 2 kilos, you can use a "Päckchen" (small parcel) for 3.90€.

Just in case you want to know, a standard air mail letter to the US is 1.70€ (20 grams), 2.00€ (50 grams), 4.00€ (100 grams), and gets really expensive for anything heavier than 100 grams.

And here's the Deutsche Post / DHL website in English:

    Hope I could help.
