In Gran Caneria, they tried to get me into their shop by offering cam corders cheap 9 euros was the cheapest?

And what I want to know is, this must be a scam but what is the catch?

  1. Nikki is right. Also they do another thing which is offer the 9 euro cameras and then say "No, No, you don't want that, it's rubbish" and then gradually show you more and more expensive stuff in the hope that you'll give in and buy one.


  2. often stuff like that is to get you into a shop so they can sell you timeshare or "holiday club" as it's known these days.

    see also, the lottery scratchcards that ALWAYS win and you have to go inside to claim a prize.

  4. I went to Spain a while ago and men there would try and sell sunglasses for 20 euros. One of them asked how much I would pay so I said 2 and he said ok! They will be getting these things dirt cheap and thats exactly what they are - cheap and nasty! Because poeple think they got a bargain with the camcorder they think the other things must be bargains and so buy more...
