  1. B.A.G.S. means Bookmakers afternoon greyhound service. The bookies pay the racetrack money to run races on certain days so that they have got plenty of opportunity to fleece the poor mug punter!

    B.E.G.S. means bookmakers evening greyhound service, reasons are same as BAGS.

    Some might say BAGS is written largely as the Bookies need Large satchels to take our money away!!!!!!!

    its because they subsidise the track for the "priviledge" of showing it in their betting shops.
