In High School, have you ever?

joined a club in which the members were mostly made up of the opposite s*x? Like lets say if your a guy there are 7 girls and 2 guys not including you, and vice versa. If so, did you feel awkward about it? I'm asking this because, well, this is my situation. I've joined the Astronomy Club at my high school, and it is made up mostly of girls and only two other guys, and I'm kind feeling kind of uncomfortable. I don't really know why. I'm planning on staying becuase I do love astronomy, and being with mostly girls doesn't bother me, but I still feel a bit uncomfortable about it. Wouldn't you feel weird about it also?

Well yeah it is totallly normal! Mainly because you are a guy, and you like being around other guys. Thats just nature! Haha, but hey, try to make lemonade from lemons!! Try to get to know some of the girls really well. That way, you can have more options towards girlfriends, or, you can date those girls' friends! Haha have fun in Astronomy Club!

I'm in yearbook, and ALL of the staff is freshman, and I am a junior..So i guess it's kind of a similar situation eh?

Okay, let me tell you that being one of the only guys in a club is a good thing.  Most of the girls are probably looking at you thinking "He's hot".  Since there aren't very many other guys, girls DEFINITELY think this.

yep, i had more guy friends then girls. girls are waaay to dramatic for me. it wasnt weird at all, i never had feeling for any of them and i dated guys outside my group

maybe itz cuz your not sure how to tart a conversation with her. Or u like the idea of it being made up of mostly girlz but arent sure wat to say too them if so just say hey wat did the teacher just say or can u help me out with something by the way my name is...wats your it really does work.

At first it feels a bit uncomfortable to you. But after a few days time and you get used to the people there and you make friends it begins to feel normal and you don't have a problem with it at all.
