In India, they needs to pay 100% tax on the goods sent by post?

I used to send some goods to India and the receivers weren't very excited coz they got charged 100% tax on them at the receiving counter... it was like 25 years ago, though... Is that still how it is???

  1. Itz all depends on what goods you are sending and itz value.

    Normally if you put as 'Gift' there won't be any taxes I think.
