The South Indians are original Indians as far as my knowledge of history is right. Years back there were Aryans from middle east who attacked India (This was in similar manner of Genghis Khan) and those who are in South India were pushed towards Southern India while those people won various battles. The Aryans settled there in the Northern parts of India which they won from these current South Indians and became Indian. This happened long long back as I do not know the year but certainly some Indian historian will be able to provide dates. The Aryan settlement then became part of India and many of them contributed in Indian culture and history.

If you are aware of Genome project of IBM and National Geographic, then keep on watching its results. It will still take few years but if any information received through their web site (I had watched some of their documentaries on NG channel) shows the mutated genes from Middle Eastern ancestors in some tribes in Americans which could be find even in Northern Indians.

The vedic culture and related practices are still observed in Southern Indians than Northerners and Southern Indians are more of scholars whereas Northerners are more aggressive.

The original inhabitants of India were the Dravidian or Harrappan peoples.  They were dark-skinned.  The Aryans invaded about 4,000 years ago.  The Vedas contain clues about the Aryan invasion.  The Dravidians were pushed to the south and enslaved - this is also why the lower castes tend to be dark and the higher castes tend to be lighter.

The original Dravidians were very advanced.  They had a written language and very complex architecture that included wonderful bath houses.  The Aryans were militaristic and had horses, and basically wiped out the Dravidian culture.

Traces of the original culture remain in Hinduism, which is basically a mishmash of Aryan beliefs and Dravidian beliefs.  For example, an ancient Harrappan site has produced a statue of a god-like figure sitting in the lotus position.

You sound like a racist prick, but I'll answer this anyways. I saw a show on Discovery channel about an archaeological find of Aryan folks along the ancient Silk Road that runs to the Orient. Their skeletal remains confirm they were Aryan and most of their tools, utensils, and art was consistent with the skeletal analysis. Some of the wools clothes they wore were made from the wool of a sheep that is only native to Europe. They might have been hired to guard the roads or been merchants doing their time in a foreign land for their family business or something. I don't know if this helps or not. Perhaps ancient trading routes spread genetics. Hopefully you know how the Vikings were able to change the face of Russian blood in a very short time.
