It's about kidnappings...it was sooooooooooo scary. Can I tell people? I had the dream this morning, when I went back to sleep. If I tell people will something bad happen to me? I woke up when I was about to be killed in it. Then I blew three times on my left shoulder and I seeked refuge with Allah.

  1. i read in a islamic dream interpretation book that nightmares shouldn't be discussed, but nice dreams could be told to family and close friends

  2. Well that dream is a warning something bad could happen. Just be cautious.

  3. Actually u shouldn't..

    Bad dreams are from shaitan..

    Volume 9, Book 87, Number 114:

        Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri:

The Prophet said, "If anyone of you sees a dream that he likes, then it is from Allah, and he should thank Allah for it and narrate it to others; but if he sees something else, i.e., a dream that he dislikes, then it is from Satan, and he should seek refuge with Allah from its evil, and he should not mention it to anybody, for it will not harm him."

  4. Do you know it's haram to tell people false dreams?

  5. Umm lol.. i think you just told us. =)

Share the good ones, forget about the bad ones =D

  6. OUR ANCESTORS MEANS OUR GRANDFATHER AND ETC... USE TO SAY THAT WE SHOULD NOT DESCRIBE OUR HORRIBLE DREAM TO ANYONE UPTO 24HRS.I DONT KNOW PROPERLY BUT I THINK U SHOULD NOT................

  7. Alhamdulillah.

When one encounters a bad dream, then they should not tell anyone about it as stated by the Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) where he said:

"If any of you sees a dream that he likes, let him tell others of it if he wishes, but if he sees something that he dislikes, he should not tell anyone about it, and he should get up and pray.”

Therefore we should not tell anyone about bad dreams that we may have.

Furthermore, the Prophet (SAWS) told us some actions to take if we encounter a bad dream, one of them from the above hadith where he (SAWS) told us to get up and pray 2 rak'ah.

He also mentioned other actions we could take along with praying:

He (SAWS) said; "If anyone sees a bad dream that scares him, let him spit drily three times to his left and seek refuge with Allaah from its evil, then it will not harm him.”

In another narration he (SAWS) mentioned to spit drily three times to the left and seek refuge in Allah from shaytan three times and then turn over to the other side.

..." So we may sum up from these ahaadeeth the most important points about what a person should do if he sees a dream that he dislikes, as follows:

1-     He should know that this dream is from the Shaytaan who wants to cause him grief, so he should annoy the Shaytaan by not paying any attention to him.

2-     He should seek refuge with Allaah from the accursed Shaytaan.

3-     He should seek refuge with Allaah from the evil of this dream.

4-     He should spit drily to his left three times, i.e., blowing with a little bit of saliva.

5-     He should not tell anyone about it.

6-     He should turn over from the side on which he was sleeping, so if he was lying on his left side he should turn over to his right side, and vice versa.

7-     He should get up and pray.

If a person adheres to this etiquette, then we hope that this bad dream will not harm him, as it says in the texts. And Allaah knows best."

  8. What does telling someone have to do with Islam.  You should be able to tell your friends anything.

  9. You told us so I'm sure you can tell anybody you want to.

I always share my dreams with other people because they're so weird and sometimes funny. I don't think that a bad dream means that you're gonna get hurt. So don't worry.

  10. when ever you want to
