  1. Yeah, and everybody is equal.

  2. Are they EQUAL? Yes

    Are they the SAME? No

So it's illogical to ask why men have certain rights that women don't n why women have certain rights men don't. It's like saying why does a man have a p***s and a woman doesn't, or why women have b*****s and men don't.

SO, because they are not the same they are INCOMPARABLE. N they can't take each others duties. Just the same way, if U want an orange U can't make do with an apple can U hahahaha, jus' won't do the job

  3. Yes.

We are equal by Allah(swt) that we are judged equally. Difference in duty, rights, and responsibility is not about equality, it's about purpose. Purpose and equality are very different.

All men are children of women and all women are children of men. In Islam it is made clear that the one who acts riteously is the only superior one.

EDIT: @ I love skiing... We are equal by Allah. We are judged equally. We are created with differences, differences is not inequality by no means.

EDIT: Sis.. 2+2=4 right? And likewise 3+1=4 okay? These are different equations yet we come with answers that are equal to one and other. Equality is not about being the same as one an other. You are correct Allah has created men and women with difference however we share the similarity of equality. Sister, you have mistaken similarity and equality. Women and men are equal yet different. Allah knows why things are so, and he created women to be more emotionally inclined and men more physical and less emotional, this is why the witness of a woman is half the witness of a man. Women are prone to decide emotionally.

  4. In Islam there is absolutely no difference between men and women as far as their relationship to Allah is concerned. Both are promised the same reward for good conduct and the same punishment for evil conduct. The Qur'an says:

"And for women are rights over men similar to those of men over women." (2:226)

The Qur'an, in addressing the believers, often uses the expression,'believing men and women' to emphasize the equality of men and women in regard to their respective duties, rights, virtues and merits:

"For Muslim men and women, for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in charity, for men and women who fast, for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah's praise, for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward." (33:35)

It also mentions men and women when entering Paradise:

"Enter into Paradise, you and your wives, with delight." (43:70)

"Who so does that which is right, and believes, whether male or female, him or her will We quicken to happy life." (16:97)

Before Islam, the pagan Arabs used to bury their female children alive, make women dance naked in the vicinity of the Ka'ba during their annual fairs, and treat women as mere chattels and objects of sexual pleasure possessing no rights or position whatsoever. The teachings of the Qur'an were revolutionary. Unlike other religions, which regarded women as being possessed of inherent sin and wickedness and men as being possessed of inherent virtue and nobility, Islam regards men and women as being of the same essence created from a single soul. The Qur'an declares:

"O mankind! Reverence your Guardian-Lord, who created you from a single person, created, of like nature, his mate, and from this pair scattered (like seeds) countless men and women. Reverence Allah, through Whom you demand your mutual (rights), and reverence the wombs (that bore you); for Allah ever watches over you." (4:1)

  5. Yes males and females are equal in Islam

  6. yes .. we r all equal in front of Allah almighty .. there is no difference between man and woman, black and white !! the only difference between us all is taqwa and Iman !!

we have the same rights as men

same pillars we r required to do just like men

we r all equal under Islam !!

  7. Well in physical, biological, mental, and emotional we are not equal, nor will we ever be.  Man and woman are better suited to their God given natures in society and can never be equal in those regards.  But in spirit we are equal.  Man and woman get more or less the same rewards for things as the other s*x, and will be judged equally by ALLAH(Subhanna wa ta'ala) on the day of Judgment.  We will each get our reward or punishment equally.

  8. There are jobs that men can do but women cant......and there are jobs that women can do and but men cant...........therefore, men and women are equal in islam, because they both have their set of duties

    @ i love skiing

sister how can you say men are physically stronger then women?.....are they the ones  that carry the baby in their wombs for 9 months n then go through the terrible pains of labor and child birth?.......men and women are equal in physical strength ....but in different aspects.....

also, islam gives women different share of inheritance of the dead because women recieve a share of their husbands' wealth after their death as well.......so that makes it equal to the share men recieve .....

  9. In Islam everyone is spiritually equal.  As in, Allah sees both male and females equally.  However, all the sexist stuff you here about in the Middle East are more cultural things.

  10. NO they are not equall!

they never have been equal in anything!

    not physically not mentally.

their thinkings are all different and they behave all different ways..........so how can they be equal?

male are phisically stronger than females!

and As Imam Ali says " Woman are Naqis-ul-Aql."

Qur'an gives them differet shares of inheritance of dead one in the family!

and there is no woman at the status of being a Prophet.....

all are facts that shouldn't be ignored!

Edit: sis Amirah...I agree with that about being judged and the thing about we are counted with our deeds and our piety.... But still do you think the facts I mentioned are wrong?

Thank every one for making me understand!

I guess I need to know alot more!

  11. Yes but their roles and responsibilities in life are different because of their physical and emotional differences

  12. IN ISLAM, yes, we are granted equal rights to property, earnings, respect, etc..

unfortunately, IN CULTURE, people take these guidelines to life as "suggestions" and instead let old, racist, sexist, stupid traditions take over what should have been a great life.

If people stop confusing culture with religion, maybe this would be more apparent.

  13. Allah always addresses females and males equally.

Certain things seems unequal but if we calculate, they come to equal

like inheritance 1/4 for female but when we calculate, she get inheritance from her husband then it comes out equal.

Females are to start salaat early but they are forgiven salaats during period, during baby feeding etc so at the end it comes out equal with male,

Allah wants discipline in the house so He gave veto power to Husband. BUT he should never misuse this veto power because Allah is the BEST JUDGE.

    EDIT:

Parents respect is important but Janah is under the feet of mother.
