In Islam is it haram to dye your hair?

Question

If your a guy and a Muslim, is it haram to dye your hair, and I don't mean by henna.

Is it haram?

And I want proof?

No. Unless it makes u look like a girl because the Prophet (SAW) said that u should not look like the opposite s*x.

So coloring your hair would not be haram.

Growing your hair long, Having earings,putting make-up on.. anything that makes you look like a girl is haram.. : - )

Narrated By Anas : (The servant of the Prophet) When the Prophet arrived (at Medina), there was not a single companion of the Prophet who had grey and black hair except Abu Bakr, and he dyed his hair with Henna' and Katam (i.e. plants used for dying hair). Through another group of narrators, Anas bin Malik said,. "When the Prophet arrived at Medina, the eldest amongst his companions was Abu Bakr. He dyed his hair with Hinna and Katam till it became of dark red color.

yes, dying is Allowed in Islam, make sure its not Black because we shall not cheat the other person and dying black hair mainly covers the white hair.

The Prophet said: Change this (hair) but avoid black colour. [Narrated by Muslim ].

The Prophet (p.b.u..h) also said: There will come some people during the last time who dye their hair with black as the pigeons' stomachs. They will never find the smell of Paradise. [Narrated by Ahmad and Abu Dawood ]

This is applicable to the hair of the head, eyebrows, the beard, and any kind of hairs on the human body.
