  1. Hitsuyou means "need" or "necessity" and is a noun.

    Hoshii is an adjective and means "wanted".

    They are not synonyms and cannot be used interchangeably.

  2. hitsuyou = need

    hoshii = want

    depends on the sentence.

    ex.

    i want you (anata ga hitsuyou)

    i need you (anata ga hoshii)

    i think these two are interchangeable, right? but i dont think other sentences are interchangeable.

    ex.

    kid : i need lots of candy mom.

    mom : you really need candy? you just want to eat candy right?

    kid : yeah..

    im gonna say like that to my kids. lol

  3. hitsuyo=is needed

    hoshii=to want

    it depends
