  1. their the same as midfielders in soccer. they kinda play defense and offense. but they run a lot(from going up and back on the field)

  2. Have you ever played soccer?  They are like the midfielders in soccer.  They tend to run a lot.  For more info check out a lacrosse site like: http://www.redhawkslacrosse.com/lax101.h...

    .

Since the sport is still new in the US they ususally have lax101 pages where you can learn more about the sport

  3. midfield runs ALOT. you have to be very good at sprinting and you definetly have to be in shape. you constantly are running up and down the fields playing both offense AND defense

  4. Well Patricia Lacrosse is not a new sport to the United States, it actually was the first sport ever in North America because it was invented by.....the american indians. I thought you should know that seeing as you talk about all of these Lax 101 websites.

Middies line up at the beginning of the game at ironically enough midfield. They take the face off and fight for posession after each goal and at the beginning of each quarter. They will play offense from the top of the set with like a 1-3-2 where there is one attackman behind, 2 attackman in the middle sides, one middie on the crease, and two middies up top or sets similar to that. When they turn the ball over or the goalie makes a save 2 of them run back to play defense while most of the time one of them comes off to get a player called a long stick middie (a defensemen who plays middie) on the field. As you get to the higher levels there are certain middie lines designated as d middie so the offensive middies will all come off to get that line of d middies and the long pole on the field.
