In Lake Como: Somebody told me that there's a huge trophical garden, containing plants from all over....?

THANKS FOR THE FIRST TWO ANSWERS. I ACTUALLY FOUND THE NAME OF THE PLACE: LA SCUOLA DI AGRICOLTURA DI MINOPRIO.

  1. All of Lake Como is a tropical garden.

    The other two responders already told you where the one is that you are looking for, so I will just say Buon Viaggio.


  2. There is nothing at all tropical about that area of Italy except for the gardens already mentioned where exotic tropical plants are grown.... and probably most in green houses,

    Villa Serbelloni and of Villa Melzi in Bellagio both have good gardens and are  known for tropical plants. There are several other gardens around Lago Como and the other Italian lakes. Villa Taranto on Lago Maggiore is particularly good: http://www.villataranto.it/home_eng.htm

Visit the Villa Cipressi botanical gardens and drink in the beauty. n the area you can visit : In Bellagio( just in front of Menaggio) The park of Villa Serbelloni ( Rockfeller Foundation) in Lenno ( not far from Menaggio)) the gorgeous "Villa del Balbianello", In Tremezzo (near Lenno) Villa Carlotta. <*-*>
