  1. It's deep.

  2. The Marianas Trench is 10,911.5 m deep. Now, let's see what I can compare it to.

10,911.5 m that is 88.5 m short of 11 000, so I'm going to round it to 11 thousand. There are 1000m in a km so now we are looking at 11 km. I don't know of any structure 11 km high. However I know that you could pick a spot about 11 km from your house and try to walk it. If I gave you 2 points it wouldn't do any good because you son't know my area.

A school track is 400 m so if you ran around the track just under 27.5 times  you should get the distance about right! Have fun and get yourself some good runners.

  3. ..humm...if the depth of it were layed out on land, so you could walk from one end to the other of the distance, and if you walked 4 miles an hour, it would take you about 2 hours to walk from the surface to the 'vacinity' of the bottom.... does that hep ya out any..?
