In Lingerie to emerge victorious from the TVG Coaching Club American Oaks
In Lingerie is one of the runners competing in the Grade 1 TVG Coaching Club American Oaks, hoping to take home a major chunk of the $300,000 purse and some glory.
Hosted at Saratoga on 21st July, 2012, the race covers a distance of 1 1/8 miles, and is reserved for 3-year-old fillies.

Trained by Todd A. Pletcher, In Lingerie will be taking on some tough runners like the Thomas Albertrani trained, Zo Impressive and her stable-mate, Disposablepleasure.
The daughter of Empire Maker, out of mare Cat Chat, definitely has the ability to take the race, since her record is pretty impressive already. From four starts, she has managed to claim three victories, and finished once as a runner-up.
Two of the three victories that, the three-year-old has claimed came in the graded category, which will definitely help her in this race.

She emerged successful from the Grade 2 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes at the Pimlico Raceourse on 18th May, 2012, at about 1 1/8 miles.
The Kentucky bred runner efficiently completed the course in 1 minute and 52.07 seconds with rider John Velazquez on her back.
With her brisk pace, she defeated her stable-mate, Disposablepleasure. This victory will definitely aid her in this start based on the familiarity with the distance.
Owned by Gary Barber and Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, the filly aced the Grade 3 Bourbonette Oaks at Turfway Park in March, 2012.

The 3-year-old filly completed the 1 mile course in 1 minute and 38.28. This time she defeated her stable-mate, Dancing Solo, who was paired with rider, Javier Castellano.
Time and time again, the filly has proved herself to be capable of winning. She is versatile and will easily be able to adapt to the dirt surface, since she has done it before.
Stable-mate, Disposablepleasure, will not make it easier for her and will be seeking revenge. The daughter of Giacomo, out of mare My Canada, lost to Zo Impressive in the Grade 1 Mother Goose Stakes at Belmont Park in June, 2012.
It will be an interesting race with some fierce rivalries, one between In Lingerie and Disposablepleasure and the other between Disposablepleasure and Zo Impressive. In Lingerie is likely to succeed and will post a winner with a hat-trick.
