  1. Impossible to predict.  Britain is an island sandwiched between the continental weather systems, the Gulf stream, the Arctic weather and anything else which turns up.  It may rain all month. We may have a drought.  It may rain every other day, or be very hot and sunny in the morning yet rain in the afternoon.  The met office used to provide a 'long range' weather forecast intended for farmers, but funding for this was removed (partly at the met. office request), when it was found to be completely unreliable.

Best idea is to carry a 'packamack' around in your bag, but dress for sun.

  2. unpredictable. if you want sunshine then the UK is  not a reliable option. In August the days ae long, but they might be filled with wind and rain..

  3. Now there's a question!

Well normally August is our sunniest month - but last year we had a really really bad summer - with TONS of rain.

However, that was last year - this year is going to be good and I have high hopes for a good summer.

Sorry I can't give you a more accurate answer.  On a good year I guess you would expect maybe one day of rain a week...

  4. Studies shown over the last eight hundred years say it rains 8 times.

  5. Can't give you an answer on the rain, but can pretty much guarantee that it will be humid!
