  1. you cant really get a desirable, but not too expensive place otherwise they are all already taken of course I really doubt there are vacant homes in those areas.

    Non desirable areas even have shortage of housing and high prices let alone a desirable place. Keep looking then visit but I suggest you look at outer London or the suburbs ive lived my whole life in the inner city, crime & not desirable.

    i'd recommend west hampstead, putney, and clapham.

  3. the words "desirable" and "not too expensive" don't go together ... decide which is your priority
