where is a good place to eat?

we're thinking of going up to leicester square, is there anywhere nice up there?

Be very wary of the restaurants directly on Leicester Square - they are liable to be expensive and not very good. There are some good ones in Covent Garden nearby.

Try Bistro1 (see www.bistro1.co.uk) - really nice Mediterranean food, and it is pretty cheap.

China Town has some good restaurants, but seek out a recommendation to make sure you don't pick a crappy one.

Just walk up to soho its about 5 minutes away and leads onto chinatown, tons of decent places to eat.

Go to TGI Fridays @ Picadilly circus.  Just amazing.
