  1. haha. everyone is SUPPOSED to buy a ticket before they board the bendy - they even provide you with the ticket machine right next to the bus stop - but few people actually use these its too easy for people to sneak on and "forget" about they're tickets - even if they have oyster cards.


  2. Yes, you are supposed to have a ticket to ride on a bendy bus.  If you don't have an oyster card, you're supposed to buy a ticket before you get on , there are ticket machines at all the bus stops that bendy buses serve, the driver doesn't take fares on a bendy bus.

    The system relies on trust & the honesty of the users, which why some people get to ride for free unless they're caught by the ticket inspectors who make frequent inspections on bendy buses.

  4. I use an Oyster Card. I am a regular visitor to London and hadn't heard about the "free buses". But is it worth taking the risk? Won't the bus companies be more vigilant now?
