When you write in a cell, it is not possible to use ENTER to go to next line, if you do, it completes the entery and curser jumps to next cell. In summary I want to know how to write bullet points within a cell in excel spreadsheet.

Example:

1. abcd

2. efgh

3.

  1. Why not use a text box instead. Far easier to read, allows for returns and shifted returns, does not cause a massively deep row height and as it seems to be for information purposes only it doesn't need to take up a cell. Text box can be placed anywhere on your spreadsheet and an arrow can point to cell that appertains to the info.

  2. No guys, the word wrap still does not allow you to enter, as in press enter and it goes to the same line, in the same cell - that's what Yogy is asking about.

You want to press Alt + Enter - it works.

    God Bless

  3. Put the whole word in one cell.  Then go to Format > Cell > Alignment > Wrap Text.

    -MM

  4. Try this..

Once you type 1. abcd press ALT+ENTER and type 2. efgh press ALT+ENTER and so on.

    This is the easy way...
