  1. The town of "Aguas Calientes" (literally translated it means "Hot Waters") is at the base of the mountain were Machu Pichu is. As the name of the town aptly describes, the town is near a hot spring. It is a nice visit, although most tourists never go there as they are too busy with Machu Picchu itself. If you can, yes, bring a swimsuit and check out the springs.

  2. bring a suit.

  3. People are catholics there so they aren't use to see naked people running around.

  4. it is SO relaxing, esp after having hiked up to the ruins.

  5. Aguas Calientes (also known as Macchu Picchu town) is a small tourist town 10 min before arriving to Macchu Picchu Station, there is also a paved road between these two spots so tourist can go back and forth rather by bus every 10 minutes.

There's a Hot Spring swimming pool oppened from 5 am to 10 pm, I've seen some tourist getting a relaxing hot bath on their underwear (in the evening is the best time with a beautifull clear sky full of stars) because there's no place to buy a swimming suit, so if you don't want to feel embarrassed by showing yourself in underwear please take along a swimming suit because you are going to regret not having it.

It's better to go prepared and enjoy watching others (of the opposite s*x) on wet underwear!

  6. mmm thanks
