Question:

In Magic the gathering, I was wondering if my Combo of "Grindstone" and "Painter's servant" is an auto win?

I think it can take out and entire deck in one turn, because they painter's servant makes all cards that aren't in play gain any color that the person chooses, it says it gives all spells and permanents a color of your choice, and that includes LANDS right? Even though lands are colorless, they still can gain color too right?

  1. As long as your opponent doesn't have an answer, then it will go through an entire deck.

Your opponent can bounce or destroy the Painter's Servant in response to you activating the Grindstone.

  2. Land is a permenant, so yeah - that's an outstanding combo.

  3. Yeah, that is a pretty sweet combo.

Good thing I play a blue counter deck.

  4. yes

  5. jaja, cool yes it would be. and is quite better than any i've seen so far good thinking, most other library droping ive seen are 5th turn minimum and require at least 3 cards, thats awesome may i sugest Hurkils recall and or rebuild +glimpse the untinkable for ur own library if u play 4 of eack thats some good chances unless they thoughtseize or something just a thought.

  6. Well, given that Savant/Grindstone is the default kill of choice right now in type 1, and it's pretty good in legacy... I'd say it works.
