In Maryland can a 21 year old male and a 17 year old female legally have intercourse?

The age is consent is 16, so I'm pretty sure it is legal. However he is more than 4 years older technically so I'm not exactly sure.

  1. Yes - the age of consent is the age of consent.  The age of majority has nothing to do with it.  The 4 years thing is for someone under the age of 14.  Once you hit 14-15, the cut off is 21.  At 16 the law no longer applies.
